What certificate authority does Batch use for its APIs?

As of February 3, 2026, Batch uses Let’s Encryptarrow-up-right as the certificate authority for its API endpoints.

What is Let’s Encrypt?

Let’s Encrypt is a modern, automated, and open certificate authority (CA). It issues SSL/TLS certificates to secure HTTPS connections. It’s widely recognized as an industry standard.

Do you (as a Batch client) need to do anything?

If you use certificate pinningarrow-up-right, you must update your trust chain.

Please note that, as part of modern security best practicesarrow-up-right, certificates are now short-lived by design. Short lifespans require automation. Because of this, we do not support certificate pinning: if you want to harden security, please rely on Certificate Transparencyarrow-up-right.

Let’s Encrypt’s trust chain is documented herearrow-up-right. For now, the certificates we emit are valid for 90 days, but this duration might be reduced over time.
