What certificate authority does Batch use for its APIs?
As of February 3, 2026, Batch uses Let’s Encrypt as the certificate authority for its API endpoints.
What is Let’s Encrypt?
Let’s Encrypt is a modern, automated, and open certificate authority (CA). It issues SSL/TLS certificates to secure HTTPS connections. It’s widely recognized as an industry standard.
Please note that, as part of modern security best practices, certificates are now short-lived by design. Short lifespans require automation. Because of this, we do not support certificate pinning: if you want to harden security, please rely on Certificate Transparency.
Let’s Encrypt’s trust chain is documented here. For now, the certificates we emit are valid for 90 days, but this duration might be reduced over time.
